OSHA Outreach Training Program 

The Mid-South OTI Education Center offers the OSHA Outreach Training Program to Region VI, which provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities and how to file a complaint. This is a voluntary program and does not meet training requirements for any OSHA standards. 


Individual Industry Outreach Trainer Program Requirements 


Construction Industry Requirements 
Five years of construction safety experience. A college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation, in the applicable training area may be substituted for a total of two years of experience.

General Industry Requirements 
Five years of general industry safety experience. A college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation, in the applicable training area may be substituted for a total of two years of experience.
